Relaxing at the Campsite

Relaxing at the Campsite

Sometimes you need a break from the RV. Not because I don’t love it in there – I do – but because outside has its own things going on.

When we’re parked at a campsite, my humans set up chairs and I find my spot nearby. It’s my time to just… be. Take in the smells. Watch the birds. Keep an eye on the neighbors. Very important work.

The RV is great, but out here I can stretch out and feel the breeze. The grass is different at every campsite. Some are soft, some are crunchy, some have interesting things buried in them. I investigate all of it.

I take my job as campsite security very seriously. Every rustle in the bushes? I’m on it. Every squirrel within a hundred yards? Noted. My humans say I’m being dramatic, but someone has to stay alert.

After a while, I head back inside for a nap on my couch. That’s the best part of RV life – the outside is right there when you want it, and the inside is right there when you’re done.

Balance. I’m very good at it.
